Since I was largely inspired by the vegetation and birds of the Amazon rainforest, I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that thousands of species, including many exotic birds, as well as indigenous populations, are seeing their habitats threatened by industrial and mining exploitation. The Amazon, considered the lungs of the planet, plays a crucial role in regulating the global climate and preserving biodiversity. However, accelerated deforestation, oil extraction, intensive agriculture, and the logging industry continue to devastate this unique ecosystem. The consequences of this degradation are not just local; they affect the environmental balance on a global scale and endanger the livelihoods of many indigenous communities who depend on this forest for their survival.
