Warabouc is a creature from Lorraine folklore, a region in northeastern France. This hybrid entity, half-man, half-goat, was feared by the locals, who regarded it as a manifestation of the Devil.
The Warabouc was said to organize sabbats—secret gatherings of witches and sorcerers—in the darkest corners of the forests surrounding Avioth. Legend has it that the Verneuil-Grand Forest was home to its lair.

Description de l’image
The image shows two playing cards stacked on a rustic wooden surface. The card in the foreground immediately catches the eye with its distinctive design. The beige background, subtly aged, is framed by slightly darkened edges, which enhance the texture and give the card a weathered, vintage appearance.
At the center of the card, a stylized red creature is depicted. This character, with its curved horns, has a fluid and organic form, representing a mythical creature. Surrounding the creature are sinuous black floral motifs that add an interesting graphic element, framing and accentuating the central figure.
The name “Warabouc” is displayed at the top of the card, accompanied by “Lorraine, France,” indicating the geographical or cultural origin of the game’s theme. The corners of the card feature the numbers “3” and “1,” related to the card’s role in the game.
The choice of colors and textures, suggests a card game rich in symbolism and aesthetics, evoking a blend of traditional and fantastical influences.
