I created a visual to represent my “prowess” during my multiplayer sessions on Sea of Thieves. To sum it up, the only creatures I managed to scare off were the fish.
Graphic Storytelling: Guiding the Eye from One Failure to the Next
The design of this infographic relies on intentional visual overload to convey the frustration and chaos of combat. I used the zombie pirate as a central target: the one I was allegedly supposed to hit. His pale colors and livid complexion contrast with the darkness of the background (who said “and of your incompetence?”). The red arrows and annotations are deliberately chaotic, creating a rhythm that guides the eye from one failure to the next. The grainy texture applied to the flat colors adds organic depth to the vector drawing. This type of image is ideal for an infographic or to explain combat mechanics in a game. It could also serve as an illustration for a book on humorous piracy tales.
