I’ve drawn this model many times, so the face feels familiar. I used my usual Neuland fine liners (0.1 and 0.3 mm) and kept the lines simple, just enough crosshatching to show the texture of the hair and beard. It’s not about perfect likeness, but about capturing a certain expression, a presence. Working with someone I know well helps me focus on small changes and try different angles. This is part of an ongoing series of portrait studies.
