Here is the first part of an infographic created for Schwarz Group’s cybercrime report.
The isometric 3D approach allows me to represent a digital environment that is both structured and vulnerable. It helps to read, organize, and hierarchize information within and around the image. My goal was to transform IT systems into geometric blocks reminiscent of data centers and network infrastructures, while suggesting a besieged fortress. The servers thus become bastions of a digital world under attack. The character at the top of the pyramid represents a hacker, a hidden threat observing and controlling. This visual hierarchy reinforces the idea of invisible but ever-present dangers within digital systems.
The characters at the base, equipped with archaic tools like catapults or a Trojan horse, symbolize the intensity and violence of cyberattacks.
For the color palette, I opted for a deep blue to create a serious and technical atmosphere, evoking the complexity and opacity of IT systems. The touches of red highlight critical points and risk areas, emphasizing the notion of danger. The uniform lighting I chose ensures optimal readability while adding depth to the composition.
Although designed as an editorial illustration, this creation can be adapted to other contexts. For instance, it would fit perfectly on a stand at professional trade shows related to technology or cybersecurity, grabbing attention with its impactful visuals. It could also be used in marketing materials such as brochures or flyers to raise public awareness about cybersecurity issues.
