Visual Communication

This is a realistic visualization of a board game packaging. I created it using Cinema 4D and Adobe Illustrator for my portfolio. To avoid the “perfect vector look,” I designed on purpose my own custom brushes. This adds a more organic and handcrafted feel.

Actually, even if the design process seems to be completely digital, I always start with a sketch. But I lost that one in the ocean of data on my computer.

Just a few words about Métaheros

Now, regarding the word Métahéros written on the box. I created this little “stamp” for these kinds of projects—mostly board games and children’s illustrations—and I’ve been using it since 2015.

Méta- comes from Greek, meaning “beyond” or “transcendent.” At first, it was meant to playfully question what makes a hero. Is it superpowers? Bravery? A cool cape? Or is it maybe the big, the small, the unexpected, and even the clumsy ones? (Which is more likely what I would draw if you don’t commission me for something else!)
