Julien Bigot

In the tabletop gaming world, illustration goes beyond aesthetics. It must make gameplay fluid and intuitive. This is where I come in, as both an illustrator and a player. I adapt my visuals to the gameplay needs of designers and publishers. My goal is to create cohesive universes where every icon, color, and concept serves a purpose. High artistic quality and mechanical clarity can coexist. In the future, I aim to illustrate projects in the vein of “Unlock!”, “Codex Naturalis”, or “Azul”.

Freelance illustrator and graphic designer since 2011, I am based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. With degrees in Cultural Mediation and Communication as well as 3D visualization, I navigate between vector illustration, visual communication, and traditional techniques (inks, watercolors).

I apply this versatility to the board game industry (Valavendur, Crazy Pilot, Yaxha) and literary publishing. I regularly collaborate with major groups like Siemens, BCG, and Burger King for their visual communication, infographics, e-learning, and UI/UX needs.
