Designing a Cohesive Visual Identity for Wildlife Books

What if I turned my naturalist sketchbook into a cultural product?

Here is something you should know about me: besides being an illustrator and a “contemporary survival” artist, I specialize in 3D visualization.

So, I sat down at my desk to create a fictional publishing house (with a name inspired by my Instagram handle, @codexitineris) and modeled the books it would likely sell. To keep it authentic, I scanned my own original ink-drawn naturalist illustrations, then integrated them into the cover designs, carefully balancing the color harmonies for each. As a self-imposed challenge, I limited each design to just two colors. I love the idea that a cultural product can also double as a decorative object. I could make tons of books like this, but I have to stop at this point.

Softwares: Adobe Illustrator, Dimension.

One final note on the process: no AI was used in the making of this project.
